Our Journey

We began as a team of professors, graduate, and undergraduate students at the University of Virginia Department of Electrical & Computer engineering. As we initially developed Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technologies we began to realize the potential of this technology.

The Problem

We realized that conventional sensors in fluid or pumps were plagued with many practical problems that drove up cost and time for maintenance. Conventional sensors were bulky, operated by large batteries, and had a limited installation options. Our technology sought to address this by providing an alternative hassle-free place-and-forget sensors.

Excessive Maintenance
Frequent Upkeep

Our Solution

Our technology has been developed as a stark contrast to conventional solutions. We identified form factor constraints with existing solutions and persistent issues that effected pump and pipe sensors. Using the issues with conventional solutions we achieved an alternative that succeeds where the existing technology fails. Our technology allows for much higher data and power accessibility at a reduced size and cost.
